		Abhishek Mahanty Abhishek Mahanty is a member of Architecture Solutions Team at Sun Microsystems. He works as a Solutions Architect on e-Governance projects and has been involved in Java evangelism with academic institutions, ISVs and the Government of India. He has conducted many technical workshops and has spoken on various technologies at Tech Days, Sun Developer Days and other industry conferences. He holds a Masters degree from the University of Glasgow, and technical certifications from Sun Microsystems and Oracle Corporation.

		Angela M. Caicedo Angela Caicedo is a Technology Evangelist at Sun Microsystems. Angela's expertise includes: Java ME, Java SE, Java EE, and the entire Sun Java Enterprise System. She loves spending time in new and cool technologies like: Game developments, 3D, Bluetooth, smartdust (Sun SPOTs), and others. She has also presented these topics at developer conferences around the world. Angela graduated from the University EAFIT of Medellin Colombia in 1998 with a B.S. in Computer Science. During 1996-1997 Angela was a visitor student at Center for Educational Computing Initiatives at MIT. Prior to joining Sun, Angela worked for three years as a software developer and researcher at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (EPFL), in Lausanne Switzerland, and participated in several European Projects. Angela has also done research on Intelligent Agents which is one of her specialties.

		Anjan Banerjee Anjan Banerjee is a technical lead with Oracle Fusion Middleware R&D Group at Oracle India Development Center. He is focusing on Oracle WebCenter development and is one of the innovators on various key aspects of Oracle’s Enterprise 2.0 and Social Networking functionalities. Oracle WebCenter being a product based on a state-of-the-art JavaEE tech stack, Anjan carries with him a rich experience of developing using JSF, JPA/EclipseLink, and the Oracle Application Development Framework (ADF), in the portal, collaboration, and social networking space. Anjan holds a Masters in Mathematics & Computing from IIT Kharagpur. His research areas included Natural Language Processing and Satellite Image Processing. Anjan has been programming for the last 14 years, the later 5 years of which was on Java. He is with Oracle India Development Center since 2005.

		Arun Gupta Arun Gupta is a GlassFish Evangelist focusing on Web Tier at Sun Microsystems. Arun has over 12 years of experience in software industry working in various distributed computing technologies, Java platform, C++ and several web-related technologies. In his current role, he works very closely to create and foster the community around GlassFish and related technologies. GlassFish is a 100% open-source Java EE 5 compliant Application server from Sun Microsytems. Arun was the specification lead for Java API for XML Web services (JAX-WS) in the Java platform. Arun is a committer in multiple open source projects in the GlassFish community. He has participated in several standard bodies and worked amicably with members from other companies. He has been with the Java EE team since it's inception and since then he has contibuted to all Java EE and several Java SE (JDK) releases. He is a prolific blogger at http://blogs.sun.com/arungupta . This blog has close to 700 blog entries with frequent vistors from all over the world reaching upto 25,000 hits/day.

		Brian Leonard Brian Leonard is a Technology Evangelist for Oracle. Brian has over 18 years of software development experience evolving from the terminal, to the desktop, to the web (and back to the desktop). In his current role, Brian works to create and foster the community around OpenSolaris, the open source distribution of Solaris from Oracle. Brian has spent the majority of his career working as a Java application developer and deployer, and he now gets to showcase why features like ZFS and DTrace make OpenSolaris the ideal operating system for these roles.

		Chuk-Munn Lee Chuk Munn Lee has been programming in the Java language since 1996, when he first joined Sun Microsystems in Hong Kong. He currently works as a senior developer consultant and technology evangelist for Technology Outreach at Sun in Singapore. Chuk's focus is in: Java APIs, Java EE, Java SE, and Java ME. Chuk worked with key Asia-Pacific independent software vendors (ISVs) during the last six years to helped them design, prototype, develop, tune, size, and benchmark their Java applications. Chuk is also an avid gamer; he shares his enthusiasm for Java technology adoption with other game developers. Chuk graduated in 1987 from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology in Melbourne, Australia, where his favorite subject was compiler theory. 		Gaurav Sharma Gaurav is a technical lead with Oracle Fusion Middleware R&D group focusing on Oracle Web Services Manager. Oracle Web Services Manager (WSM) provides a policy framework to manage and secure Web services consistently across the entire Fusion Middleware. Gaurav has over 6 years of J2EE development experience in building enterprise security service components and applications. He has in-depth expertise in Internet protocol security (TCP/IP, HTTP, SSL, REST, SOAP), enterprise security infrastructure stacks (DCE/Kerberos, CORBA, J2EE, SCA). His current interests include application of WS-* set of standards (WS-Security, WS-Security Policy and WS-Trust). Before joining oracle, Gaurav worked in Infosys and Computer Sciences Corporation

		Harsha Ramesh Harsha is a technical lead within the Oracle WebCenter team focusing primarily on its collaborative components and integrations with external modules. Harsha has more than 7 years of design and development experience in various domains covering Portlet development, Collaboration & Networking sites and SAAS (Software-As-A-Service) product offerings. His current focus is concentrated around designing inter-operable solutions connecting Microsoft based applications with Oracle WebCenter.

		Justin Raj Justin is a Technical Architect in the Java capability team working from Accenture Chennai Delivery Center. He has an overall experience of 7 years in software design and development and had worked in variety of Java technologies in JEE5 and J2ME stack. He is primarily focused on research on the use of JEE standard compatible presentation frameworks, technical pre-sales and provides architecture & design reviews. He holds a bachelor degree in Chemistry and M.B.A with specialization in Systems from the University of Madras.

		Krishnan Parthasarathi Krishnan Parthasarathi works at Sun Microsystems as Desktop Sustaining Engineer. He is a FOSS evangelist. He has given a talk at OSDevCon 2009 on using DTrace to measure performance of the Gnome Desktop (http://www.osdevcon.org/2009/program_detail.html#krishnan). He likes to play around with DTrace, ZFS, Crossbow and other technologies in OpenSolaris.

		Laxshmi Narayanan Raman Laxshmi Narayanan has been associated with Oracle for the past 11 years. Worked on formative stage of the Classic Portal, contributed to Mobile enabling enterprise applications including seamless online and offline data storage as well as interacted with international customers on providing system architecture for their Collaborative Communication Systems. Narayanan is currently leading the IDC team on Oracle Data Integrator platform, which is part of Oracle Fusion Middleware Suite. Narayanan has Bachelors in Engineering from Bharathidasan University and currently pursuing his International MBA from Edith Cowan University, Australia.

		Madhan Kumar Services, Solaris Cluster Manager and Data Service Configuration Wizards since joining Sun in 2005. His areas of interest are High Availability & System Management tools. Madhan regularly participates in product design discussions and reviews and helps partners port their Applications to Solaris Cluster. Prior to joining Sun, he worked for Oracle Corp. on Networking and Enterprise Manager products.

		Manoj Prakash Manoj Prakash is a Senior Principal MTS with Oracle Fusion Middleware R&D focusing on SOA suite. He started playing with Java in 1998 by writing games, web applications and 100% Pure Java libraries. Back then; he developed a TV Banking Prototype using Personal Java. He has since built multiple high performance software products and systems in his 12 years association with Java and J2EE technology. His current focus area is SOA and BPM. Prior joining Oracle, Manoj was working in Weblogic Integration development at BEA Systems. Earlier, he was a Senior Software Architect at CoreObjects where he helped deliver version 1.0 for several startups. Manoj holds an engineering degree from Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad.

		Mayuresh Nirhali Mayuresh Nirhali is Software Engineer with the Solaris Revenue Product Engineering group based in Bangalore. He is responsible for sustaining of Ops Center, a comprehensive Systems Management platform, that manages physical and virtual Sun Systems. He is also a contributor to Solaris platform. Mayuresh has been working with Sun Microsystems since Sept 2001, gaining engineering experience in breadth of technology areas, such as Java, Databases and Systems. As an avid technology evangelist, He has represented Sun at various Customer Briefings, Technology conferences, Community participation events covering Java, Solaris and MySQL among many other technologies. Mayuresh holds B.E. degree in Computer Science, from University of Pune, India.

		Mukesh Gangadhar Mukesh Gangadhar is a Senior Application Engineer working for Intel Corporation. He currently works in the Software and Services Group, where his energy is focused on performance and optimization of ISV applications on Intel based platforms.

		Peter Karlsson Peter Karlsson is a Solaris Technology Evangelist who works with developers to adopt technologies delivered through the Solaris Operating Environment. Prior to joining the Evangelists, Peter had been working in the North/North-Eastern Europe sales support organization for five years. There he was senior product specialist focusing on Solaris Operating Environment and related technologies. Peter has also worked in the Sun MDE I/O-technologies and solutions, supporting third-party ISV's with device driver development.

		Philip Torchinsky Philip Torchinsky started giving talks on UNIX in 1994. His courses became popular among IT professionals in Russia, and Philip wrote is first book on UNIX when he found there is no convenient up-to-date UNIX manual book in Russian. Two Philip's books (on UNIX in general and specifically on Solaris) were published in two editions each. In recent fifteen years Philip was IT manager and senior system administrator in companies located in Russia, Slovenia, Georgia, Ukraine and the United States. He is now working for Sun Microsystems as Solaris Evangelist and share his experience of network and system administration.

		Rajesh Ramachandran Rajesh has 17+ years of Software R&D experience in building world-class global product organizations, delivering innovative, and successful enterprise software products. He has worked in wide gamut of domains and technologies that includes Enterprise computing, Middleware, Dev tools, System management products, SAAS, Enterprise applications, Networking, Industrial automation software, Robotics/AI software, RTOS, etc. In his current role as a Senior Product Director with Oracle Fusion Middleware R&D Group, Rajesh is responsible for many strategic products and tech stack of Oracle Fusion Middlware Suite that includes Enterprise 2.0 and Portals, BI – Enterprise Reporting, Data Integration Platform and Fusion Applications Core Framework. Prior to joining Oracle, Rajesh was working with Siemens AG, Future Software and Lakshmi-Barmag AG. Rajesh is a well-known technology evangelist / speaker in the areas of Enterprise Architecture, Web2.0, Middleware, etc. Rajesh holds a Masters in computer science from Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago, Bachelor of Engineering from A.C.Tech, Karaikudi and a management degree from ICFAI. He is currently pursing his Executive MBA at IIM, Bangalore.

		Ramkumar K Ramkumar is a Technical Architect in the Java capability team from Accenture Chennai Delivery Center. He has an overall experience of 9 years in software design and development in Java technology. He is currently managing the development of reference architecture assets that provide common JEE technological solutions to projects and also mentors a group of subject matter experts. Ramkumar holds a university bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Madurai Kamaraj University, Tamilnadu. Prior to joining Accenture Ramkumar has worked with Wipro Technologies and has done System design, Project Management and Technical trainings.

		Sanjeev Bagewadi Sanjeev is a Staff Engineer at India Engineering Center, Sun Microsystems, Bangalore and has been with the company for 7 years. He has been working in the Solaris, SunCluster and Distributed filesystems areas for the last 7 years. He is currently working on ZFS and PxFS of SunCluster and has been in the industry for 10 years. He regularly participates in customer interactions and University engagements and evangelizes Solaris.

		Sharath Srinivasan Sharath Srinivasan is a systems programmer in the Solaris Revenue Product Engineering group at IEC, Bangalore. He currently works on storage and PCI Express device drivers for the Solaris Operating System. Prior to Sun, he was working with a Robotics startup and holds a Masters Degree in Computer Applications from RV College of Engineering, Bangalore.

		Simon Ritter Simon Ritter specialises in looking at emerging technologies including grid computing, RFID, wireless sensor networks, robotics and wearable computing. Simon has been in the IT business since 1984 and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from Brunel University in the U.K.Originally working in the area of UNIX development for AT&T UNIX System Labs and then Novell, Simon joined Sun in 1996 and started working with Java technology; he has spent time doing both Java development and consultancy.

		Sripathy Rao Sripathy Rao is a Software Development Manager with Oracle Fusion Middlware R&D leading the Oracle Composer product team at India Development Center. He has 12 years of industry experience that includes 10 years at Oracle. He has extensively worked Enterprise Software development tools, frameworks and applications. His areas of interests at work are JSF, XML and their extensions. Sripathy has represented the product at the Oracle Open World. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree from Bangalore University.

		Surya Prakki Surya joined Sun 10+ years ago and is a Staff Engineer at IEC. He is working in 'solaris kernel sustaining' group. He has been handling issues in the various kernel subsystems viz vm, procfs, system call layer, threads/lwps and x86 hat layer. His new interests include virtualization technologies like zones & xVM. He holds a Masters degree from Indian Institute of Science.

		Terrence Barr Terrence Barr is senior staff engineer at Sun Microsystems and Evangelist of the Java Mobile & Embedded Community. He has 15+ years of industry experience with more than 10 of those years at Sun. He has been working on various technical aspects of embedded systems and Java ME for a number of years including implementation and optimization of virtual machines, byte code hardware acceleration and multiprocessor platforms. Terrence also participates in several organizations and standards bodies such as JCP, EEMBC, and OMA, is author and co-author of a number of U.S. and European patents, and speaks frequently at various conferences around the world including JavaOne. Terrence is also the project owner of the ME Application Developers project.

		Viswanathan Kannappan Viswa is a Lead Product Engineer for UFS filesystem and specializes other filesystems like ZFS and volume manager products in Solaris. He currently works in Solaris Revenue Product Engineering group of Sun/Oracle. As a back line engineer his focus is to resolve code level technical issues for customers. Viswa is an Open Solaris sponsor and helps the community integrate bug fixes in to Solaris. He has Bachelors in Computer Science and Engineering from Annamalai University and has been associated with Sun for more than 5 years. Prior to Sun, Viswa was working for Novell softwares.
